Survival Guide

Tips & Strategies

Learn from the survivors. Master these techniques and you might just make it out alive.

🏃

Movement

Master Gorilla Tag Movement

Your arms are your legs. Practice pushing off surfaces with alternating hands for maximum speed.

Never Stop Moving

Stationary players are dead players. Even when hiding, keep your hands ready to move.

Stamina Conservation

Climbing drains stamina fast. Look for platforms where you can rest mid-climb.

Use the Grappling Hook

It's not just for traversal—swing to break line of sight with pursuing monsters.

⚔️

Combat

Stun, Don't Kill

You can't kill monsters—only stun them for 8 seconds. Use that time wisely.

Lead Your Shots

Projectile weapons have travel time. Aim where the monster will be, not where it is.

Save Your Stun Baton

It's a one-time-use guaranteed stun. Keep it for emergencies.

Combo Weapons

Freeze Ray slows monsters. Follow up with Flamethrower for area denial.

👁️

Awareness

Always Look Up

Kill Crawler attacks from ceilings. Check above you before entering rooms.

Listen for Audio Cues

Terror Worm causes tremors 2 seconds before striking. The Beast's roar has a distinctive sound.

Watch the Fog

Infected Monke's toxic fog lingers for 15 seconds. Plan alternate routes.

Trust Your HUD

When it glitches, Radio Bot is within 800cm. Switch to melee weapons.

🚨

Red Light Emergency

Find a Hiding Spot Early

When sirens start, you have 5 seconds before doors lock and monsters get 50% faster.

Small Spaces

Monsters can't fit through tight gaps. Use vents and crawlspaces during emergencies.

Stay Calm

Red Light lasts 30-60 seconds. Panicking and running burns stamina you'll need.

Use Smoke Grenades

Break line of sight even in locked rooms. Monsters can't target what they can't see.

👥

Multiplayer

Stick Together

Lone players are easy prey. Groups can watch each other's backs.

Assign Roles

Have one player focus on stunning, another on scouting, and one on gathering resources.

Establish Code Words

Mimicer disguises as players. Use code phrases to verify teammates.

Revive Priority

When a teammate is down, clear the area first. A rushed revive gets two players killed.

Pro Tips

Evolution Prediction

Monsters evolve based on time in proximity, damage taken, and player actions. If you've been fighting a monster for over 2 minutes, expect it to be in Hunter or Berserker state. Plan your escape before engaging.

Stamina Management

Your stamina drains at 5/second while climbing. At 100 max stamina, you get 20 seconds of continuous climbing. Plan your climbing routes with rest spots every 15 seconds to maintain a buffer.

Flare Gun Meta

Fire flares in the opposite direction of where you want to go. Monsters are attracted to the light. It's effectively a 60-second distraction that can clear entire areas.

Cured Monke Alliance

Cured Monke in the Meadow detects threats within 1200cm. If you see it getting agitated, danger is approaching. Use its behavior as an early warning system.
